In addition to having a leather jacket problem, I also have a a wool sweater problem.
I have a total of 4...all from Aran Sweater Market in Ireland. 2 pull overs and 2 cardigans. I keep them in a sealed plastic tub during the warm months. And I look forward all year to the cold weather arriving!- M Brown

"Longhorn Brand" - "Oil resistant". I'm really surprised they've lasted all these years. Noticeable wear is the smoothing down of the rough surface of the rubber under the foot pad. Scotch Guard? Scout Felt Hat Protector?
by it's very nature fur felt is water proof. That doesn't mean it will shed water like a waxed cotton slicker but water won't damage the fur felt. Some of my fur felt hats have gotten a good soaking countless times and they always dry to their pre soaked state. They may need a little coaxing... -

On Retirement And Hats
