Hopefully I shall soon have my son wearing hats. He is a young attorney in another of our southern states.
Yesterday I purchased him a cheap generic venitlated hat, fedora style at of all places, Tractor Supply.
I called him last night and told him I had purchased for him and would give...
Tried your link to limmer. Could not find the wing tips, just some ulgy walker types.
I had several pair of British Walkers when in high school and college in the 60's. Fine shoes wish I could find them now.
Those look great! I had a pair by a company years ago called British Walker, well made, but had so much trouble in my youth keeping the white vamp clean that I finally dyed them to match the rest of the shoe.
I now wear Allan Edmonds as my daily wear because it's one of the few brands that...
Discovered that while corresponding with Art via e mail. I am going to have it made with a raw edge brim as I prefer that softer look.
RBH, where in Arkansas Delta? I still have half owenership in my parents house in Monroe, La. Not too far from SE part of that delta country. Good farm...
I just order my first from Art Fawcett, a larger brim fedora with a narrow ribbon .
Style is that of the hat worn by Jeff Bridges in Seabiscuit.
Having worn western styles most of my life I cannot stand the"stingy" brim types.

Also helped claiming your hat at the O club esp at some of the formal occasions when almost eveyone was somewhat...
Personally, I prefer a wider brim and am looking for a fedora similar to that that Jeff Bridges wore in Seabiscuit. It had a wider brim and a narrow ribbon hatband.
Grew up in town population 50-55K then when in service live in couple of metro areas fro 600K to 3 million. I am now in small town of 12K and love it.
have larger town of 75K only twenty minutes away, and about equidistant from Dallas and Shreveport,La. I find it easier to go to the city from...
Prefer a hat, especially when carrying anything else. I spent 10 years active duty in Air Force and umbrellas were not allowed then. The flight caps were worthless in rain and the round dress cap with short bill was marginally better.
For rain get a wide brim. I have a few western Stetsons...
Thanks for the welcome. I know it shall be a bit of a wait for the AB but from what I hear should be worth it.
As for pictures, will have to play with that one, digital cameras computers and me do not do too well together.
I saw on another post where Steve aka Fedora, and some of the...
