    My first Art Fawcett

I have been trying to figure out how to post pictures and think I got the hang of itl Here are couple of photos of the hat. The one with me holding camera for self portrait so bad I would not show it to my dogs.

"Take your hats off, you are indoors".

Unfortunately in our part of the country, few restaurants provide hat racks, hat check facilities. Yesterday while at a local Italian restaurant I chose the only alternative available, I left it on my head. I will not place a nice hat on a table to risk having it soiled, nor place in in my lap...

When I was active duty AF officer in the70's fatigues (not bdu's then) or utilitity uniforms such as whites for medics, cooks, ect were not allowed off base, except for commute to and from, but best not stop off anywhere. The same rule applied for flight gear, ie jump suits. Joined active...

    My first Art Fawcett

Got my first Art Fawcett last week. A beautiful silver blue with thin ribbon. There was some confusion in the order, and it was made with a narrower brim than I had originally wanted. When I asked Art he saw the error after reviewing e mails and offered to remake. By that time I liked...

    Bashed Western

I just did one to look almost exactally as yours does this last weekend. I Like the oook much better than that of the western. Mine still has a 4" brim which will remain as is for a while. Jeff

    New Hat, new member

Got two of the Banjo Pattersons last fall, one in fawn, the other charcoal, I like the looks of the stock hatband and prefer to keep them as is. They are too classy to mess with, the way I wear a hat. I do not have to dress to a high business style as I am a hospital pharmacist, usually just...

    New hat

Just got an e mail that the Art Fawcett I order before Christmas is to be shipped. That's fast service In the meantime I took an old Resistol Western that I did not care for, wet it and reformed to a teardrop crown, just a hint of roll to the brim and a snapped down brim in front. The sides...

How the classy hunter goes afield...

I use a Filson Macinac(sp) in the classic red/black for colder weather(not too often here anymore. Being one who likes older guns I am leaning toward a mod.1896 Swedish Mauser in 6.5x55, lighter than the '06 but adequate. then there is my 1911, and k-31 Swiss straight pulls. Beautifully made...

    Return of hats.

That sounds nice . Our town has grown by about 1500 since moving here 28 years ago, from 12,000 to about 13500. Getting too crowded and congested!

    Return of hats.

Little town, Thats huge to me, but glad to see you can find hats. Here all one can see is the western style and they are appropriate for some days in this part of the country. Dressier hats are much more difficult to find locally but at leasts now we have the internet. Jeff

    Summer Hat

Guess you could stay out enough to get sunburned, but I never have. My opinion is that constant moving moves shadowlines of hatweave on your head and really slows down chances of sunburn. The breezy feeling of air moving through is nice and cool to me. jeff
