Fit check on Aero CXFQHH Cafe Racer

I would not put my hopes on loosing a little weight to get a better fit. The classifieds are full of jackets for sale because they were too tight to wear. Jackets being sold because they are too big are hard to find. A little big and you can wear it with something other than a tee shirt. A...

Fit check on Aero CXFQHH Cafe Racer

The sleeves need to be at least 1 inch longer. And the hem needs to be 1 or 1.5" wider so it doesn't bunch and ride up when zipped. That would drive me nuts riding my motorcycle, with my wrists hanging out. Even driving my truck I can't tolerate short sleeves. If you zip the cuffs in the...

    Broken-in Feet

I had a pair of Jim Green boots and sent them back to Amazon. The toe cap created a sharp fold behind my big toe. Usually wearing new shoes for a short length of time each day will allow them to form into a comfortable shape for your feet. However, sometimes the shoe is just a bad shape for your...

    Are Aero Jackets that good?

Jacket fit on a bike has a lot to do with riding position. When I'm on my Yamaha R6 it is very different than my HD Road King. The Indian bobber 20 is different from the other bikes. If you ride without a windshield like I do, and you want to protect the leather on the front of the jacket, and...

    Sheepskin fibers penetrating hyde

Sending it back so they can take a closer look. They said it has rarely happened in a few places. Never an entire jacket. This condition covered the entire jacket. It did not brush off. Some fibers could be pulled out easily. Others are deeply rooted and lifted the skin when tugged on. I am...

    Sheepskin fibers penetrating hyde

New Aero irvin. The shearling is penetrating the jacket skin making the outside skin look fuzzy everywhere. Some of these tiny fibers can be pulled out other curly ones are tight. Literally thousands of fuzzy bits. Is this typical for Irvin ore war jackets? Does it go away? It does not brush...

    Leather under a microscope

What is this? New Aero Irvin jacket with shearling poking out the opposite side. Is this normal? Is it OK? Some can be pulled out and some are stuck. It covers the entire garment.

    Ladies Aero Irvin fit check

The motorcycle gloves work well with the sleeve. I'm an instrument rated commercial pilot. I sold the airplane a few years ago to retire early from my job testing( NDT nondestructive testing) fighter jets I still enjoy the vibe.

One flaw in the elastic strap behind the neck. Some of the white elastic mot covered. A few close up shots of the sleeve.

    Ladies Aero Irvin fit check

I was going to order the late war model because I thought the back design was more interesting. Carrie sent me this pre-war to check out. The sleeves could be a bit longer for riding. The belt rides slightly below my blue jean belt. Is this the correct spot? The jacket is super soft. It...

Just when you thought you had seen it all . . . (Warning: Not for the fainthearted)

My neighbor used to a good job on the skins. A whole bunch of fun chasing hounds through the woods at night with a flashlight and a 22. Not so much fun when one gets hung up on a branch and you have to climb the tree to get it. Very popular in the 1920's and 1930's. Also early 1970's. I didn't...

Yes! Quick dispatch with a rifle round. And don't forget to make beautiful jackets and leather goods from the hide. The racoon is also a disease spreader. Rabies and distemper. Unfortunately demand for racoon coats and hats has declined well below the supply. However they are also tasty.

Just when you thought you had seen it all . . . (Warning: Not for the fainthearted)

Notice the open field behind this guy. And in front. No crawling through thickets. No danger of jacket damage. These hunts use a pack of dogs to surround and bite the animal. The hunters catch up on 4 wheelers. Get out and stab the critter attempting to hide in a ditch between 2 fields.

Just when you thought you had seen it all . . . (Warning: Not for the fainthearted)

The description markets this as a "party" jacket. Not motorcycle riding apparel. At first glance I would imagine it was an intentional homage to women survivers of breast cancer. Perhaps a family member. However the description leads in the opposite direction...
