One of the more classic and decently designed mod jackets of the era.

Here's some shots from the production of Lady and the Tramp (1956).
Bill Baucom (Trusty) and Bill Thompson (Jock and others) recording voices. You may remember Thompson for several other Disney films from the '50s as well as Droopy and the old timer on Fibber McGee and Molly.
2 of the 9 old...
I've seen a similar collar style on '70s suits.
Besides the odd collar, I find the lapels to be VERY low for 1939. lower than the early '50s and almost '80s spec.
My getup for the 8th Annual Jazz Age Lawn Party last weekend. 1940's Dobbs boater, '20s glasses, '30s/early '40s tie, modern Paul Fredrick shirt, early '40s suit jacket, '50s slacks, Bass saddle shoes, Mitchell Ukulele.
Here with fellow Lounger Dhermann1
I've noticed that 37-38R jackets are becoming harder to find compared to the 40-42R range at least in my experience. I've been on the search for a '60s does '30s belted back and a 9/10 times they're no smaller than 40R.
Sadly unwearable due to moths feasting on the entire thing but would make a good pattern.

$30 BIN for all 3. It's worth it alone for that older herringbone!

Real nice, would bid on this myself but it's for a taller guy.
