    The ultimative Denim Trouser Thread?

I would like to buy nice "vintage" jeans. The problem is, I don't know anything about it ! I know there is a science in denim ... and there is a lot to know. So I would like "vintage" jeans, with a relatively high waist. I don't want something overly baggy (I don't want a modern slim fit, but I...

My first A-2 Jacket : Bill Kelso Dubow 27798, Liberty Seal

Thank you all. :) I am lucky for the size of the jacket, but above all I have been very well advised. This is a 42 long (I'm 1m88 tall for 74 kg). This is exactly what I needed. Liberty HH leather is really excellent. It's my only A-2 jacket and it's hard to compare with other brands. But I...

What to wear with my French cyclist jacket (Hartmann pattern)

Hi all. I recently bought the jacket of my dreams: a French cyclist jacket (luftwaffe hartmann jacket). The particularity of this type of jacket is that the waist is very short. I am looking for an outfit to go with it, especially pants. I am not a purist. I'm not looking for an outfit that is...

French cyclist jacket (Hartmann jacket - not ELC)

You are right, There is only one official leather jacket for pilots : Many pilots used civilian jackets (cyclist jackets). It was a privilege reserved for them, but nothing was official. These jackets were close to the body. It was convenient to fly in the narrow cockpit of their planes...

French cyclist jacket (Hartmann jacket - not ELC)

I finally decided to keep my jacket as is. I think it would have been a mistake to change it. The cut is short and that's what makes it special. As you advised me, I bought high waist pants and it works much better! (I'll have to find other shoes, maybe leather boots ?) Here are some pictures :

"Hartmann" Luftwaffe jacket by "Cooper A-2

I really love the Eastman jacket version. The problem is that I am tall and rather slender : 6' 2.4'' (1.89 meter) and 11 stone, 9 lb (73 kg). This kind of jacket must be properly adjusted and I'm afraid I'm not getting into Eastman standards. The jackets worn by the luftwaffe pilots were...
