First post - looking for advice for a "do it all" jacket (Aero Premier Highwayman - Belmondo style)

just wanted to keep you guys posted: I didn‘t go for the sheene. Spent ages creating „the perfect jacket“ but then I had to focus on my studies so I lost sight of it. a week ago I found a Lewis Corsair in black cowhide in the bay that really looks like the old Luftwaffe jackets and has nearly...

I‘ll go for sateen in the sleeves then. My CR has drill lining in the sleeves but wearing the CR collar with a short looks at least unusual in my opinion so I never really had the „issue“ with longsleeve shirts. Are the shoulder gussets any good or are they just for aesthetics? I read both in...

I didn‘t really get that part. Why is going for full drill not an issue when you‘re not wearing long sleeve shirts often? the double negative is probably too much for a non native speaker ;) does that mean that full drill is better when you‘re wearing t-shirts or short sleeved henleys and...

First post - looking for advice for a "do it all" jacket (Aero Premier Highwayman - Belmondo style)

Thanks for your input guys, I‘m about to order. I‘ll be going for: - Sheene - Seal Goat - August Collar - no kidney panel - shoulder gussets - highwayman yoke - Nickel zippers looped ball chain - Olive green lining - Olive green contrast stitching - two inside pockets in the facing (probably...

Personally I‘m not a friend of zippers at the back of the sleeves, the always tend to be in the way when you place your arms on the egde of a table. If I‘d be doing my CR again, I‘d place them at the front or maybe on the sides if Aero does so, I‘ver never seen them on the sides before

That‘s a beautiful jacket, what kind of leather is that, FQHH in cordovan? I did not really get the zippers part, I‘m afraid. What are hidden zippers? Hidden just because they are on the back or are there special „hidden zippers“? Wouldn‘t this be a reason to go for hwm styled sleeves with a...

Asking all Sheene/Seven owners: Since the BR/CR pattern is quite tight, do you use your handwarmer pockets? Can actually put both hands in the pockets comfortably when the jacket is closed? Would you choose zipped or unzipped handwarmer pockets and why? Whats the standard Aero inner lining...

Einen wunderschönen Abend Mr. Knight und vielen Dank für Ihren Erfahrungsbericht! Yes, I‘m probably in the same position as you were except for the fact that I‘ll never part ways with my FQHH jacket, it just suits me to well haha. Finally being kind of broken also improved the jacket a lot but...

Thank you for your input. I thought of the Aero Seven but somehow always prefered the Cafe Raver over the Board Racer. It‘s probably the V-shape. But I‘ll keep your suggestion in mind and I‘ll ask Holly for her opinion after giving her my measurements

Stylewise I feel quite set asking Holly for a Sheene - Highwayman mashup. The CR fit is probably the right one for me since my CR also fits me very well. The Luftwaffe is a hell of a jacket that I‘ll be buying anyway one day but since I‘ve never handled an Eastman before I can‘t really justify...

Choosing between Sheene and Premier Highwayman I‘ll probably ask Holly. I feel quite set on this topic. What really bothers me is leather choice. Even though I like FQHH a lot I‘m looking for something lighter but also durable

I‘m 6‘2 and athletic 86kg so I‘m far away from being a tank but you might be right that the CR style might suit me better, love mine. found a thread where the hwm, the CR and the sheene are compared, you also commented on it. very useful information, thanks! looking at the picture I’m comvinced...

Is there a reason you would choose „lightweight“ FQHH over e.g. medium jerky HH or goat? Thought of a Sheene/Seven but I think my Cafe Racer jacket would become jealous if got her a sister that is basically the same style

I actually looked at the Domitor a lot and even found one at the bay that would have been my size. but the jacket was black und they are a bit too shiny for my taste. personal preference, I guess. however, I’ve got a lewis mudlarker which i like a lot

Not the button guy. The Plainsman is a nice jacket, I just can‘t stand half belt style jackets. I like one piece backs and clean styles. IMHO are jackets that are distinctly longer than the belt line rather for older gentlemen than me beeing in my twenties

Hi leather addicts, longtime lurker, first time poster. I actually signed up for this post. Since you don't know me, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm a German in my mitt tweenties who got into leather jackets at about three years ago and spent ages on this website reading posts about jacket...
