    The Fedora Lounge 4.0

I admit I don't utilize the Fedora Lounge forum as much as I did 13 years ago when I first joined (wow, has been that long?), so I really don't have a "dog in the fight" about any changes. Adds or no adds, light or dark, new look or old, none of it bothers me in the least, because I'm just glad...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

That's a very nice hat and a great color combination between the felt and ribbon.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Truth be known, it didn't look much better before the bushhog incident. I've used this hat as a "work hat" for about 15 years.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

This old hat has seen better days, but it's still a good work hat. It's a tough hat, too. I was bushhogging today and as the tractor went under some low hanging limbs my hat got knocked off. Before I could stop the tractor and raise the bushhog all the way up, my hat got sucked under the...

Thanks. I've been driving that car since 1983. My aunt Sara bought it new in 1965 (she traded in a black 1955 Ford Tudor). I rode many a mile in both her '55 and her '65. When she passed away in 1983 the car was left to me. It had about 30,000 miles when I got it and today it has a couple...

Thanks. Someone suggested I'm having a "mid-life crisis." If that's right, then ok. Considering I'm almost 63, if this is the "middle of my life" then I should live to be 126 years old.

Adventure! Fedora Lounge Folks in Action!

I did a little hiking on Craggy Pinnacle near Mount Mitchell today. When I left home it was sunny and close to 70 degrees. By the time I got to the top of the mountain it was thick (and very damp) fog, windy, and 40 degrees. Still, it was a good day for a hike.

Please help Cindy (LuvMyMan) and Daniel.

I'm so very sorry to hear this. I know from personal experience how hard it can be to be in a place like this. I was the caregiver for my Dad for five years as his life in this world came to an end. At the last, I felt as if I had come to the end of my rope and I really felt like that rope's...

It's a 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe sedan. I've had the Plymouth for about seven or eight years. It's a great car to drive.

My new ride is a 1927 Bugatti Type 35. Well, OK, so it's not a "real" 1927 Bugatti, but a "kit car" built on a 1970 VW frame. I just got it yesterday evening. It'll take a little work to get it the way it want, but it should be a lot of fun (both driving and "tinkering").

My wife and I had a bit of fun hiking to the top of Table Rock a couple days ago. The wind was blowing so hard that it actually shook me about. Let me tell you, if the wind can push me around, it's really windy!

Things You Learn as an Old Car Driver

I put new shocks on my '65 Ford last week. It drives like a new car now.
