Jack! Time to step outside the box! LOL!

    Show us your Guns!

Nice revolver! I'd say you're way past due to bust the cherry on that one! I've only gotten rid of two firearms that I've owned and one was a M29. Honestly, I just wasn't shooting it or using it like I envisioned, so when I got into CAS I traded it in for a Ruger Vaquero in .44 Mag. I've...

What Did You Drink Last Night?

Dewars White Label is good to use with a mixer and is my go to there. Rusty Nail, Scotch and soda, Rob Roy, . . . But yeah, single malt is for sippin'!

What Did You Drink Last Night?

Dewars 12 Year, neat. It was one of those 50ml bottles included with a holiday package of White Label. Pretty decent, smoother and more flavorful than WL but not overly exciting. Decent as a sipping whiskey.

Photobucket No Longer Works for Me. Anyone Else?

I guess I'm a little slow on the uptake and just discovered that Pb stopped third party hosting. Kind of sad that so many images from so many people on so many websites have gone blank. That's a lot of great pics that were pertinent to so many threads that are lost. I don't see going back...

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

I see that photobucket has jumped the shark and my images above are gone. Too bad but no way am I going to pay for their crappy service. I utilize a combo of uploading files or photobucket depending on a number of factors. Kind of sad that so many forums will have a lot of empty images in...

    Show us your Guns!

My Glock26 is my primary carry. I have a Polish P-64 when I need a slim profile. Taurus PT99 is primary HD, with a SIG P220 right beside it. Everything else is for range, hunting, CAS or just part of the collection.

Vintage Things That Will NOT Disappear In Your Lifetime

Yes, it was the first FDA approved form of ibuprofen in the US back in the 70's, so they held that patent for several years before others like Advil and generics jumped into the game. Just like Kleenex and other originals, the trade name Motrin has become virtually synonymous with ibuprofen here.

Well, that should have been his swan song.

    Akubra Hats

Johnny, Somehow I completely missed your post, sorry for the late reply. I bought it on eBay as a never worn hat. As I recall, the woman bought it for her husband but he didn't like it or it didn't fit, so it sat in a zippered bag for some time until she decided to sell it. That was...

    Your favorite movie quotes

Clint Eastwood's character Will Munny in Unforgiven has a bunch. Little Bill Daggett: You'd be William Munny out of Missouri. Killer of women and children. Will Munny: That's right. I've killed women and children. I've killed just about everything that walks or crawled at one time or another...

Vintage Things That Will NOT Disappear In Your Lifetime

Anderson did do amazing things with Delta, no question. He always struck me as the kind of guy who is always up to a challenge. Problem as noted above is that the US rail system has not been a national priority since WWII, other than some niche markets. Credit to those upthread who noted that...

Vintage Things That Will NOT Disappear In Your Lifetime

Though that is the natural history of essentially all businesses. You either create or quickly embrace the new paradigm or perish by the old one. The Swiss with the watch industry, Detroit with automobiles, etc. Sears created or adapted to many changes throughout their history. This one, not...

    Western, anyone?

Thanks, I did. I went ahead and ordered a Montana Peak last night. I'll let y'all know after it arrives. I'll have to decide what I want to do for a hat band, as that's not included.
