What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

And honestly, that forecast for Buffalo in February isn't that bad!

You can only wear one jacket for the rest of your life- do you go black or brown?

Black. Because black leather is badass. Brown is great, and probably matches more things, and sometimes ages better. I'd love to get a cordovan jacket, as they are lovely, and somewhere in between. But black is it.

    Vanson Enfield HH size 44

Damn, that's a dream jacket for me, and 44 is my size, but it does appear to be much smaller, but mostly just the pit to pit. Everything else seems pretty close to a standard enfield.

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

I bought a "L" chopper a couple months back, I'm generally a 44 for Vanson stuff and it's on the smaller side. Works, but just barely.

Schott 141 vs Vanson Comet: size and cut/fit

Yup, should just be a wee bit larger than the 44 comet. I just measured mine as i was curious, pit to pit is 24.5", and the bottom hem is 20.5".

Schott 141 vs Vanson Comet: size and cut/fit

No problem. Pretty close to yours, 45-46ish.

Schott 141 vs Vanson Comet: size and cut/fit

I’m close to your size(6'1 220ish) and have both the 141 in 42L, and the comet in 44 plu3. The vanson is more of a motorcycle jacket, the schott is much more casual. Both fantastic though. I love the 141 in general because it was my first good leather jacket. Ive had a couple in different...

    Best Leather Gloves?

My Churchills just came, haven't had a chance to use them, but they fit comfortably and seem very well made. They also smell a lot like rawhide, so I'm going to have to keep them out of my dogs reach!

Heats Straps Chief Coat vs Ship John Wills Jacket

Doesn't shipjohn have a couple years wait for those Wills jackets? I'm curious about the heatstraps stuff, there's another company called tinduck making similar gear.

    Best Leather Gloves?

Just the standard black deerskin motorcycle glove, might as well start with the classic.

    Best Leather Gloves?

Nice breakdown! I'll add that Hestra makes all sorts of gloves, the ones you posted are indeed dressy and probably a bit delicate. They have a work line, as well as athletic stuff. Their "ergo grip" gloves are great, I use them for everything from dog walking to chopping wood to mountain...

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

Weird that it's a large and not a numbered size, but generally their "large" = 44, at least with their current stuff.

Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

His descriptions are honestly pretty hilarious. Some of it has to be at least a little bit tongue in cheek, doesn't it?

    Vanson! Vanson! Vanson!

Right on, I think yours was the good review I remembered. You were getting it altered right? Love to see more of it when you get it back.
