That leather is superb! I love how the sleeves look, was hoping I will get something like that on my CR but I'm pretty sure the pattern makes a big difference.
Don't know if this has been posted already...

Definitely looks much better now! I like when the leather develops a bit of shine, in your case a lot more :)
Haha, I'm still doing research. I'm not convinced by the sample, I was expecting to develop better creases after playing around with it for some time but seems pretty dull.
Interesting how dark it is after a few years.
Yes, this one is waxy cowhide:

I don't really have much experience with stiffer leather but I like how it feels overall, how it develops and shapes around your body. Also, I feel like it's got a personality compared to soft buttery leather which is much easier to wear indeed and doesn't need break-in but it will look more or...
One of the cowhide samples I wanted to use for a project it's similar to yours in behaviour after a while. This one is waxy leather and it loses its shine properties.
Thank you so much!
I'll think about that as I don't want to damage the leather more. I'll probably try on a hidden spot and see how it reacts. Many thanks for the tip!
Thank you @bn1966! I'll probably try a few things and see what the outcome will be.
Thank you.
I'm curious how it turns out, so that's the jacket with curved sleeves I take it. Did they actually make a new pattern or they had one and modified it? I'm thinking to have my other design in goat but not convinced yet.
Thank you! The forearm was already trim before but now it's a bit tighter and I didn't want that. I'll have a look at that leather putty later on after wearing the jacket for a while. What do you mean when the lining allows?
I'm trying to forget all about the holes but it's just too fresh and...
Yeah, I'm getting a bit tired of crappy jobs. That's is disgusting and now I'm left with a jacket with all those needle holes...I'm really pissed off with them.
It's messed up when you instruct people not to do something specific and they still do it because they think they know better. Love the jacket and how it fits me now and it's not noticeable indeed. Shame that I wanted to send it back to Shawn and I thought eventually I'd be better off trying...
Thank you! I like the outcome, wish they didn't screw up leather but lesson learned at least - gotta find somebody else if I need alterations.
It looks good now but they messed it up the first time, I've posted a few pictures on the 5* thread. I knew they will have to redo it and I'll have to...
