I just bought this 6X silverbelly Resistol today at a non-chain, out of town western shop. Got two compliments right away once in town. I'm happy because my local western store is moving to cheaper, lesser known, wool felt hats. (Pics not mine)
It took me a long time to discover Anderson Bean boots... I'm going back in this thread now since I just discovered it. My ranching roots give me a healthy interest in western wear like leather boots and western hats. Thanks everyone for all these great pics of your boots. Hours of entertainment!
Cool. I used to have a pair of buckaroos like that about 31 years ago. I danced a few two-steps with 'em. They were Panhandle Slim made by Sander's. My new boots are quite a bit more comfortable for walking. Anderson Bean Mike Tyson Bison and Blue Lava Square Toe. These are damn comfy for a...
Howdy. My Guess jacket is pretty darn nice for $35, $40. Thrift find.
Howdy. My thrift find Guess is a shockingly nice, durable jacket. Looks similar to images in the post I chose to reply to.

Looks like you got the hang of it! Very neat. Im from ranch people but missed out on the using saddles part. Bareback mostly for me. I have much love for anything western: boots, hats, clothes, artwork, and natural materials like leather, felt, wool, and cotton. Anyways, I'm tired and rambling...
I'd probably go with something like these with a walking or roper heel. I'v got a pair which have a bit of a different treatment on the upper but are a similar brown with leather soles. Those Aldens remind me of a vintage pair of black shoes I like to wear with gray pants. Nice.
