Would Someone Please Post Photos of Horween LUX HH in Dark Brown?

Very nice, love the look of gregs stuff, just a tad more than I am looking to spend atm, but maybe in the future. Would love some shinki

Shame, hope they are fixing it up for you and hopefully I won't run into that issue. I think I got my measurements down so we'll see

Would Someone Please Post Photos of Horween LUX HH in Dark Brown?

Good to know, then maybe I won't need to go as soft as milan or deer in the first place. Not sure if you wear it in pretty cold weather, but I'm also guessing it stiffens up quite a bit less than cxl in the cold too as it doesn't feel as waxy? Man, still wish they included a deerskin sample. Now...

Would Someone Please Post Photos of Horween LUX HH in Dark Brown?

That does look fantastic....I do like the medium browns while the metro is a tad darker. Nice and supple? Especially compared to CXL? (even though my CXL is reasonably soft). Maybe it will be a good choice for me, a bit sturdier and nicer color than metro but a bit softer than cxl is what I am...

Would Someone Please Post Photos of Horween LUX HH in Dark Brown?

Interesting. Yeah it's very hard with the samples. I remember my badalassi sample feeling a little plasticky but was very nice when made into a jacket. I do have a used CXL halfbelt and have had experience with CXL in the past. Maybe I won't toss out milan out just from the sample yet, but I do...

Would Someone Please Post Photos of Horween LUX HH in Dark Brown?

Just got some samples in for a build I am working on. I'm planning on going with something more midweight, soft, and with quilted lining for colder weather. Really like the metro sample I have, looks to be about 1.1mm. I have the milan and lux here too, I like some of the color options better...

    Leather choices ...

Looks like they don't have anything in cordovan/burgundy huh? Would also like the option of a warmer lining. They show a quilt lining on their site but it's not on the drop down menu for some reason.

Leather jacket suggestions for those that don't ride

Is the midweight steer cxl? Not a huge fan of the battered personally

Leather jacket suggestions for those that don't ride

People love the CXL steerhide, however aero marks it as "heavy" steerhide. Wonder how it compares to the horse in regards to weight. My next go around might be something in cordovan steer.

Leather jacket suggestions for those that don't ride

I got an aero from Carrie at Thurston, highly recommended for the try on process. For leathers, vicenza or goat would probably be best if you want mid weight. You can take a look at their stock, see some examples you like and ask for swatches with the try on jacket. Badalassi is also an option...

    Aero Badalassi Offering

Starting to just get a little bit of break in, still a lot of work to be done!

    Aero Badalassi Offering

Looking great. Out of curiosity, how is it feeling after breaking in? Recently got a used CXL jacket and surprised how supple and flexible it is now. This is still a bit stiff which I guess makes sense with veg tan.... but has it been softening up a bit?

The Break In is Real - Share Your Stories

How is your badalassi breaking in? Wonder if it will get to a similar level of suppleness as my used CXL jacket; but being vegetable tan, that probably won't be the case. The CXL is heavy, but very pliable, not so much the badalassi after 5+ wears

    Aero Stitching Problem? Advice Needed

Hey guys, wanted to update everyone. Got the new jacket in just in time for fall, and all is well. Julie did an excellent job stitching it, and no holes to boot! Thanks again to Aero and Carrie at Thurston!

    Aero Stitching Problem? Advice Needed

Hi Holly, thanks so much for the message. Carrie just got back to me saying a replacement jacket would be made. I really appreciate the excellent service. I'm still happy I went with Aero for my first jacket. Thanks again for reaching out!

    Aero Stitching Problem? Advice Needed

Yep Carrie did a great job adding more stitching to the button hole stitching. There is a decent amount of crooked stitching on the jacket and I don't even really mind it too much, I now know what to expect, however the extra punching really is a bit unsightly

    Aero Stitching Problem? Advice Needed

Carrie is already on the case and will figure something out for me. Like I said, I feel bad for making her do more legwork for Aero's QC here. Nonetheless, I'm still very glad I went through her to get my jacket. Will update the thread down the line when this gets resolved

    Aero Stitching Problem? Advice Needed

Thanks for your input. Yes I'm not too bothered by the shoulder mark as when the jacket wears in, it would not be easy to pick out apart from normal wear, just thought I would mention it when I made the post. When I noticed the problems I was thinking to myself it looked like something either...
