Is your khaki an old WP and is it British or US issue? My first WP when I was a mere schoolboy in the mid-70s was closer to khaki than olive, as were all British Army WPs at the time. Two years later I replaced it with an olive version, which had become the standard issue by then.
The Peat...
I, like you, have the full range except for the Bond which I intend to get next time I order from OKW. But I have the WW2 version, which has the string/shoelace.
I thought you would probably agree with me - although it’s a difficult choice. Fortunately we don’t have to make it in real life.
I wonder what other chaps will opt for.
For those of us who have more than one Woolly Pully in different colours (e.g. Army olive; Navy Blue and Air Force Blue): if you could keep only one of them, which would it be?
This is a difficult question for me as I have the whole colour range of them. However, although I probably wear the...
Thank you very much for that. To be brutally honest, I didn’t feel very ‘blessed’ on my last visit because communication was so bad and my mother has become so verbally aggressive. I would like to feel blessed again, of course, and genuinely wish to help. I think the distance of a hotel would...

I always do my best. …
I hope I didn’t offend any of the American chaps as they can be a bit more puritanical. … Mind you, they gave us the flatulent cowboy scene in ‘Blazing Saddles’, which is now a classic.
That is a great story my friend: the heroic absurdity of everyday life. It is hilarious in a way, despite being so painful, and I get the impression that you do see the comical side of it?
I’m sorry you’ve been “hors de combat” for several months, but now that you are better it is time to get...
Outdoor Knitwear had a 10% discount over the weekend and I used it to buy a new Peat Brown WP to replace the old and threadbare one I have had for many years.
Several years back, I was wearing the Peat Brown version and a chap I work with asked me about it. I told him a tall story: they are...
