Pretty late here but I think the La Brea looks really good. Maybe I'm just someone too set in my ways but I couldn't imagine really digging something to just have people on a forum say "No actually its not good" and then starting to agree. If you feel good wearing the jacket who gives a damn...
https://buyee.jp/ is the easiest way. They'll handle the inner-Japan shipping and then ship it internationally for you. However a quick browse of Freewheeler's and I didn't see a Darius for sale at the moment.
Beautiful black FW caboose popped up on buyee. If it was brown I'd be going for it but don't need another black jacket.

Its the cut man not the country of origin. Unbranded is owned by Naked and Famous which also have ball crushing rises (depending on the model) and they're MiCanda (sometimes Japan.)
"Raw jeans" is pretty broad. You can get raw denim with super high rises or with super low rises. If you don't like the Unbranded cut its probably just not the right cut for you. Iron Heart typically has higher rises.
With that said yes UB typically do have ball crushing rises from my...
Probably everyone who has bought unsanforized denim? Thats why you need to put them in a machine when you first get them unless you really want them to shrink some more if you just hot soak.
From what I recall Wolverine had Allen Edmonds make these boots because Wolverine has/had no experience in shell. It isn't exactly on the 1k last I don't think because the toe box is far less bulbous on these compared to standard issue 1ks.
It took me a bit to understand measurements and Japanese tagged sizes as well. I couldn't wrap my head around being a western small and a Japanese large. Then once I actually understood my garment dimensions it made buying well fitting stuff pretty simple.
This is the issue I seem to run into with FW outside of the Mulholland. I really want my next jacket to be a Caboose if/when they make those again but it looks like I'd need a 42 and at that size the sleeve length is probably a good inch longer than I'd like.
I like the color. Not sure how it varies from tannery to tannery but I've only gotten cordovan from Horween on boots. Not a huge fan of the naming since it can be confusing for people of cordovan color vs shell cordovan leather. I even had a cobbler try and tell me I didn't have shell boots...
You easily could be right I honestly don't know how acquiring the rights to labels/names works with really old companies. Possibly the trademarks do still persist and legal rights need to be hammered out.
Also this is only something you'd find out with experience of doing it but the hangers I linked above from Amazon do not fit into moving wardrobe boxes correctly. The wardrobe box has a much wider metal rod for hanging things so all my clothes on plastic hangers were peachy but everything on...
Do any manufacturers actually do this? I'd assume the brands would be defunct so there are no longer trademarks on the labeling and of course clothing can't be patented for reproduction (else H&M would be out of business) so I'm not sure ..
Either way even with the construction the leather...
I have a bunch of these and they work well enough. I think pretty much any suit hanger with bulbous ends works fine.

Yeah the Mullholland is quintessential supply and demand. TFL really loves the jacket (and for good reason) and they are scarcely available unless you put yourself on the pre-order list. So if you don't get one when they do their drop you probably have to wait a year-ish.
I have to say I find this is my "grab and go" jacket for me. More and more I find myself not even consciously thinking about it I just naturally pull this out of the closet when I have to run to the store. The design is just super functional and goes with pretty much anything I'm wearing that...
