Vanson, Langlitz, Schott, Wesco Boots, and Filson are all big in Japan because the Japanese are very much into American made goods of the highest quality with a history.
I posted this size chart because most U.S. retailers don't supply such detailed measurements nor shots of their goods...
I know the Japanese wash a lot of garments, leather and wool, from American manufacturers to get a trimmer fit. It's no crime. I mean, its YOUR jacket and it looks great!
I remember that behemoth collar from a while back. I even saved some pics of it just to geek out on it. Looks good now! Looks like the most comfortable jacket in the world in fact with all that fur everywhere. Langlitz has a fur lined option that I was thinking about getting on a crazy blue...
This might be a good resource for some of us. It's from a Japanese site so I wonder if the stock sizes that these measurements are derived from are modified specifically for the Japanese market by these manufactures.

I also like the tan a lot. The orange on their site is great but this is more versatile as has been pointed out. Beat on it a while and show us how it's doing again in a few months.
The Columbia above is the same goat hide in suede. I'm pretty certain that the cafe racer above is a Langlitz Crescent which, to my understanding, is a completely different style and cut with a trimmer fit and full bi swing back and mandarin collar. Although, I'd prefer one with a simple shirt...
Man, It's about time they updated. I wish Langlitz would do the same. The charm of these old websites wore off for me a long time ago. I always go to the Japanese sites for detail shots of items from both companies. Those folks have a pension for details that rival my own.
Hi Navin, I've not decided yet on what to order first from Langlitz. I like the color of this hide and just wanted to get some opinions. It's going to be two jackets but have not decided all my options yet.
Yeah, some guys think if it's not solid black or brown then it's out, or should be out. I'm still in the planning phase for my black or brown jacket but I like to think long term. This butterscotch hide would make a great 2nd or 3rd jacket. I really like the sample I got and would like to...
Thanks Navin, nothing like a couple of Langlitz made to fit dangling at the end of a stick. Hey, that rhymes too....
I dropped 20 lbs by just cutting back a few things so I figure the last 15 will come off with a bumped up work out regiment. Slow process though but the upside is a copious...
I don't have jack...
No leather for me yet. I've got 15 more lbs to loose before I let Langlitz build my jackets. Gotta do this right ya know... Looks like it's going to be Filson cloth jackets and sweatshirts for a few months but it'll make it all the more special when it comes together in...
Other Langlitz resources
Go here too for Langlitz info and detailed shots. The Japanese take great quality shots with a more detail than most will offer. THEY ARE REALLY INTO THEIR LEATHERS and there are many sites that offer great detail...

Good Langlitz Leathers resource
This Japanese site offers a good cross section of many things Langlitz Leathers has made over the years....The best resources by far for Langlitz and others are Japanese...
