I know my sweetspot is 3" after the curl usually putting the brim at around 3 1/4 - 3 1/2 and a 6" open crown. I think I might push this one up just slightly maybe 3 1/8 - 3 1/4 after the curl.

I am seriously tempted to go black. I've come to realize I really love wearing black hats. My only thought is this No 1 quality I have is kind of filling that spot for me although it has no sweatband and is nice and beat up. That was kind of my thought when looking at other winchester...

Bob since you saw it in person would you say it was Silver belly? Seems like it has a bit of a creamier tone in this photo. I’m wondering what Winchester colour would be the closest match.

Yes it was such a nice looking one I saved your photo for this purpose! Yes I was planning on Western weight but pure beaver not the blend. Unless Rick says he can get the 3” after the curl and a 6” crown with a dress weight body.

I’m just over a month away for a custom Phoenix. Rick is making me a BRE clone. It’s about time for me decide on the felt colour. I want to choose a vintage colour. I’m thinking Bone - Silverbelly - Sand - Black This is my top inspiration at the moment. Thoughts???

Bob, I looked into that class a bit more. Man I really want to take the one coming up here in February but there is no way I can swing it with work and the new child. The 3 day class in the summer from what I can tell is essentially reproducing a fedora so you are beholden to the design. The...

    What are you listening to?

Yep sure is. She is from Nashville but never recieved any attention. Was finally signed by Jack Whites - Third Man Records after selling her car to cut a record. Pretty old school country story. She’s gaining traction - performed on SNL recently Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dating Vintage Stetsons by size tag

The top two are from two of my Canadian Stetsons, top is early 50's made in the brockville factory middle is late 50's early 60's which I THINK was made in the Brockville factory and the last one is from the bay and what I believe is a Canadian size tag from a Stetson made by Biltmore.
