    THE SUNBODY ASSOCIATION

Can someone enlighten me to the sizing of Sunbody hats. If memory serves they fit a bit small? Trying to decide between 7 3/8 or 7 1/2 as I wear a 7 3/8 Long Oval

    M.C. Gannon Hat Company

Looks great Brent, congrats! Do you know if Michael brings in sunrise felts directly? I would get nailed with all kind of extra shipping costs if I went that direction.

The Official Stetson Nutria Quality Thread

That's a beautiful hat Joe and my favourite style (although I need a bit more brim), @AbbaDatDeHat and I both have nearly identical examples - although mine is a 3X Beaver and his is a Nutria. It looks like you will bring it back to it's former glory and wear it proud.

    FS / FT: 1950's Stetson 3X Beaver Open Road - 7 3/8 LO

No I'm sorry. I'm only really interested in anything early 1960's or earlier. I also wear a 7 3/8 Long Oval so a 7 1/4 won't work for me.

    FS / FT: 60's / 70's Stetson No. 1 Quality - 7 1/8

Selling or trading a nice No. 1 Quality western. If only it was older! I believe it to be late 60's early 70's Brim at 3 1/2 with the curl - Open crown at 6 The felt is jet black has a nice hand and is in near perfect condition. Although being a newer hat it's on the thicker side. No issues...

FS: Borsalino Stingy Brim in Bismuto - 7 1/4 - Unknown age

This hat came along with another I purchased. I know very little about Borsa's. The colour came out strange in the crown photos - the shot under the brim is much more accurate. Brim at 1 7/8" - Open crown at 5 1/2" - Ribbon at 2" It reads 'Rapallo' and 'Baskin' on the sweatband The felt is in...

    FS / FT: 1950's Stetson 3X Beaver Open Road - 7 3/8 LO

Selling or trading a near mint 3X Open Road I believe it to be mid 1950's - Stars in the sweat, maple leaf on the liner, plastic liner tip. It has the original wind trolley and is on the darker side for silverbelly. Brim at 2 3/4 - Open crown at 5 1/2 The felt has a nice hand and is in near...

    Stetson No. 1 Quality

The black sweatband and the liner say 60’s - 70’s to me. Others here may be able to narrow it down further.

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

Looking at the liner and sweatband it probably falls within the age of hats made at the Brockville hat factory in Ontario. Originally the Wolthausen Hat Corporation purchased by Stetson in 1935 and finally shut for business in 1970. I have two hats with that same aquanized logo both from the...

    Western, anyone?

Thanks Jack, I do cherish it. I would like to look into actually having the original sweatband restored. Has anyone heard of someone doing this? Basically the leather still has some life in it but the natural reed is toast and protruding from the little loop they usually sit in which is torn and...

    Western, anyone?

Thanks DH - the sweat is hanging on for dear life and the felt has a few stains but hey it’s 100 years old!

    Western, anyone?

Yeah I do believe it is 406, this one is a clear nutria. Justin the previous owner dated it around 1910 but I’m not sure how he arrived there.

    Western, anyone?

It’s a bit hard to tell especially in the picture but the block on my BRE almost looks like they wrote 406 and then replaced the 6 with a 5 The dimensions and blocking appear very similar.

Racket sports are my favourite that sounds like a lot of fun. The food is what I really love. An old friend of mine and a work colleague Jesus was here in Vancouver with his family on refugee status from Monterrey. He invited me to a cookout with his family and it was to date one of the best...
