What I like about my big ones is being asked, mostly by children, whether I am an artist. What I dont like is explaining, to adults, that I am not wearing a beret but a "Baskenmütze" (basque cap).- Kreissaege

Hello Daan I take your word for it, because if it really gets cold, I wont wear either. Ears and neck need the protection of a woolen cap. :) To add to the way these berets "feel" on the head, 150 anos is softer to the skin, so sebsitive people might prefer it. I am interested, too. Up until now, my spanish 150 anos and Super Lujo beat the french ones ( chasseur tartes, dress and field version) in every aspect: denser wool, not so sloppy, fit all heads (the french dont even get the sizes right)- Kreissaege

The Super Lujo´s wool ist thicker, the whole beret much stiffer. 150 anos is not so warm. The really big ones are only available as Super Lujo.- Kreissaege

Daan, how stiff is this winter version compared to the dress version and the officers one? I ask because the two I already own are a bit too floppy IMO (compared to my all-time favourite, the BE Super Lujo). And I am still not sure which size to choose. A 60 on my 61-head ist still not so...- Kreissaege

But there is the the "beret" and the "basque beret", which makes all the difference in the world. The former, without the txortena (the fuse on top, shorn off in most militray style berets), with it outwards worn rim (with leather headband) and the special style it is worn from the military...- Kreissaege

None! The only good thing in ordering within the EU is the lack of the customs-procedure. I order photographic equipment from China and get it within a week. A beret from NZ takes 3 weeks with invoice and six weeks without. Of course, not your fault, Dan, but this is ridiculous.- Kreissaege
