It's that Russett (shades a bit dark on mine) semi-aniline goat that Aero does for their Militaria lines.
The A1 is more slim fitting than the A2, which I have to say was critical because the A2s seem to blouse out something fierce and I'm not huge on baggy torsos.

Just more evidence that a properly priced jacket up front sells a hell of a lot quicker than a jacket that starts out mispriced on the high side and takes months to stairstep down to the eventual sale price.

Looks like a bit of bleach or some other cleaning agent. Only move might be an attempt to re dye it. Unfortunate.

Lot of guys are selling A-2 styles right now, plenty from Aero coming in around $5-600. Which is a pretty steep drop from your tag unfortunately. Unless they want that RMC prestige, probably feels like a better deal.
