Hitler died in that bunker.
And when he stood in front of Saint Peter at the gate to heaven, Saint Peter looked through his files, and decided that Hitler could not enter.
So he asked him if he wanted another chance. If he would be prepared to go back to earth.
Hitler agreed to that, and...
Welcome to the Lounge Greeny!
You should try ebay - original Irvins comes up for sale there now and again. Aero in Scotland also sometimes have originals, they have restored up for sale.
It's all a matter of size - and money. Good hunting!:)
Irvins from both ELC and Aero tend to be quite big - just like the originals. So if you are 38 I wouldn't go for more than a 40. But give Garry at ELC or Amanda at Aero a call. They are both very helpfull and serviceminded.
Just post a picture taken yesterday, where there (luckily) was a bit of...
@ D-503: Yes - as Smithy says, I have a WPG. In many way a great jacket for a very low price. I have had mine for one winter - used it even in minus 10-15C. But allways with a sweater under it.
The fleece is no way nearly as thick as my Aero. And the skin is sort of thin and "flimsy" - where my...
Ups - I am not in Sales.
I went from artdirecting to copywriting and later to filmdirecting. But I still do all 3.:)
Great to see so many ad/sales people.
As for the ladies - I am not surprised. This is ADVERTISING!!!!!!!
Hi HawkEye. Thank you.
I am really, really happy with my new Irvin.:D Unfortunately I have never handled a ELC Irvin, so I can not compare the hides. But mine is deffinately "solid" and seems very strong (as stong as sheepskin can be, that is)
It still needs a lot of breaking in - but when...
It sure has changed things - on the other hand I tend to look at the internet as just another mediachannel.
It takes some new knowledge to do thing there, but basically it's still a qustion of the great idear. Just like in print, TV or Direct Mail.
As I see it a lot of money are now transfered...
Inspired by the lawyers in this great forum, I would like to reserve a small cornertable in the bar, where everybody doing advertising can sit down and have a chat.
I myself has been working in advertising for more than 30 years. Starting out as an Art Director, moved on to copywrting and then...
@ James: The colour is not as dark as it seems in the photos - best proof of the right colour, is the shot showing the neckstrap
@ Zemke fan: No secrets there: The price was the same as on their website: £ 465 including postage.
@ fleet16b : I am 6' 3" and - like Smithy - also asked for...
Thanks John.
Nahh - just a joke!!! I do not have a certificate to fly. Not yet, anyway.
But who knows? Might take one when I retire in a couple of years.
After going through all the pictures in this thread (Looking for closeups of zippers to compare with my repro.),
I just realised there were both jackets with a leatherstraps and a chains for in the neck for hanging - and even some without anything.
What was the right thing back then?
@ John:
Can't say if it's a Bellshape - but they are deffinately wider at the shoulders and tight at the wrist. At the momen - untill it's broken in, I have to unzip the wrists, to get my hands easy through.
But then again, I won't get wind up my sleeves when flying open cockpit,
will I. ;)
It finally arrived
Well - it finally arrived. My new pre-war model IRVIN from AERO in Scotland.
Here it is:
What a nice detail!:eusa_clap
...and one more!!!!!:eusa_clap :eusa_clap
And here it is - with a very happy owner inside.
It fits like a glove - but is...
AND IT'S HERE!!!!!!!
My Irvin has arrived :D :D
It was delayed in the making - which I was told. But came from Scotland to Denmark in only 3 days!!!!!
