Truly something missing from today's "entertainment" :(

    What are you listening to?

Winding down the radio station for Epiphany tomorrow, apparently down from a peak of 212 simultaneous listeners to only 13 (mostly because the holiday season was culturally over in the U.S. at midnight Dec 26th). While checking in on the stream, just heard this forgotten gem/very early rap

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

The performances were gritty, but the whole redemption arc was thoroughly unbelievable to me. It seemed that there was no price to pay for the cop's actions, he just went vigilante at the end.

    Max Factor Pan Cake dupes

I've used both and honestly Ben Nye is a close second for me. The Nye colors are a little less muted than Max Factor so it's just harder to find the right one than it was with Max Factor

Name one really wonderful thing you will for yourself in 2019

What I'm hoping to do this year is take time out for myself reading by the fireside. I have a modern apartment so don't have a fireplace, sadly. That being said, I've found a few gel fireplaces that would work, so I've been planning the library/music room around getting one of those.

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Mary Poppins Returns. Surprisingly, watching it didn't ruin my childhood, and it had more of a darker edge (more in line with the actual books) than the previous outing featuring Julie Andrews. Thankfully, most of the animated sequences were hand-drawn or painted, and it was not a CGI-fest. In...

We're arguably seeing history repeat itself because people are so far removed from WW2 and nationalism is good for business ledgers :(

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Another one we watched over the holiday was "Christmas in Handcuffs." No, it's NOT a "50 Shades' type movie, it's a Lifetime movie with Melissa Joan Hart, but it's entertaining and very watchable. If you're not familiar with it, I recommend it for light-hearted viewing fare

Doesn't surprise me that there were many pro-German media voices in the US, let's not forget the "Bund". There's the remains of an actual Nazi children's camp only a short drive away in NJ, and let's not forget the Madison Square Gardens gathering.......
