Aero has listed a bunch of stock jackets in numerous sizes, including some very awesome shearling vests. I am tempted by it as I'm jealous of others, but I just don't think I have a time or place where it would get any use for me.

What I was trying to say was I don't agree with you that Greg is making a size 42 that small. I've seen the jackets he has made in the past in size 40 for himself when he just started and those were all on spec for standard size 40 jackets, only one size too small for me.

Yea, those numbers you quote are entirely wrong. My Manhattan has a 22.5" chest, 24" back length, 25.5" sleeve and Greg labeled it a 44, even though they are 42 numbers spot on. That '44' he had for sale was custom spec I'm sure. It's not just a stock jacket he made using his typical 44...

I own 3 lambskin jackets and I too disagree about them being tissue paper thin, but yes, they are less abrasion resistant than other animals for sure. That doesn't mean they can't find a place in your closet as it's super comfortable, drapes better than anything, and wears light.

While you could certainly fit into the next size down and it would be the "correct" size, I also don't think this looks bad on you by any means. It still fits, it's just not "fitted".
