What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?
I'm sure SB could replace it with a No 8 Riri ( which are amazing zips) .. or a No 10 Universal ( again great zips) I've had pretty poor experience with Eastman repair work of late i.e. they don't reply or when they do the price is extortionate ( £200 for a zipper replacement) !!!! Indeed .... we've used it for years and it's great on really worn tack and never had an issue ..... and TBH I've yet to find / use a really terrible leather conditioner .... from Mars Oil to Mink Oil and all number of products in between. I don't think there is a "silver bullet" in the leather...- Plumbline

I've never had an issue with Ebay ( and I'm a frequent user) the fees are what the fees are - pretty much 10-15%. As a buyer it gets me access to a world of products I had no real access to in the days of "Loot", "Exchange and Mart" and post office notice boards. The online facility has...- Plumbline

Differences in wear -- Aero CXL horsehide vs CXL steerhide..?
I have many of both :) IMHO CXL Steer has the edge over FQHH ... it develops more grain and softens much quicker. The plaid on the pockets of Brandos jacket was offset as well ( not lined up like the new Aero version ) in fact very few lines in the plaid match at all ... even the front zipper arrangement is slightly off .... these were not delicately crafted artisan jackets .. they were thrown together ...- Plumbline

Warmth Aero vs ELC - B6/D1
There isn't much difference between the B6 and D1 ... Regardless of the manufacturer ... The B6 is very slightly linger but the shearling is pretty much the same ( Eastman or Aero or BR for that matter ) The B3 / ANJ-4 / Irvin are altogether different beasts and much warmer ( but also heavier...- Plumbline

A dozen purchases over 4-5 years .... one BR fake ( were they subsequently changed the description ) and eventually refunded.
