I made a makeshift chelada by squeezing a grapefruit into a pbr and loading it full of tajin. It turned out pretty refreshing. Too bad I didn't have anymore grapefruit to fix another one.- dh66

Local legend and rock & roll pioneer Hardrock Gunter, who wrote the song Birmingham Bounce in 1950, which wound up being a huge hit for Red Foley later that year. Tommy Dorsey, Lionel Hampton, and Tex Williams all also made a few bucks with it. Check out his killer kicks.- dh66

Did a little Sunday driving yesterday. First two pics are of Nectar Falls, a nice little cascade near the town of Nectar, AL that flows into the Locust Fork Branch of the Black Warrior River. Tests sterling, no makers mark. Started my Christmas shopping a little early this year. If this one were longer I'd be sorely tempted to keep it and wear it myself, but it's about 22" and my neck is about 19, so it rides uncomfortably high. Manuel was the son-in-law of Nudie Cohn. He's the man who made Elvis's jumpsuits and who convinced Johnny Cash to start dressing in all black. He also made all those killer jackets Dwight Yoakum wore. He had his own line of off the shelf western wear back in the mid - late 90s. Those shirts ran...- dh66
