Seeking Leather Specialist Recommendations for Horsehide Sleeve Alteration

Steve, if you find someone who can help you please let me know. I would love to have someone to send folks to that need the heavy work and there's certainly enough work to go around. If you don't have any luck, please contact me in say 6 weeks? I'm optimistic I'll be back in full swing soon.

Seeking Leather Specialist Recommendations for Horsehide Sleeve Alteration

Thanks for that. I appreciate your kind reply! I am doing therapy and seem to be improving. Handling the heavy jackets and all the maneuverings it takes, turning sleeves inside out, etc-raising my arm to turn the stiff hand wheel on the heavy machine, just makes me hurt! But thankfully it's...

WONDERFUL POST!!!! Have you shared this with the folks at Aero? They would love and appreciate it :-) I have been working with them for several years and find them to be the most terrific group, so it was extremely fun for me to see the inside photos. Thanks so much! Dena Leather Care Specialists

I hate having to post this, but I am unable to accept any new jackets at this time. I've been struggling with my right arm. I had a rough night with it hurting so bad after the work I did yesterday, and this morning I can't lift a glass. I'm expecting to regain my mobility but I'll have to let...

Late fathers vintage leather coat ,help with age and make

From my experience restoring thousands of leather jackets, I'm guessing you needed more than one application of the Tenderly. As for the Urad, I can guess the condition of your leather if you only used the Urad and found it to be very glossy. If the leather is dry I always fill the pores with...

Late fathers vintage leather coat ,help with age and make

clever! good tip I love Tenderly!! Combined with the signature formula, Urad, it does amazing things for leatherjackets! I've tried Pecards, Leather Honey, and MANY others. In my experience (decades) nothing compares to the Urad line of products. Tenderly is straight cream, no wax. It just...

Do waterproofing conditioners cause dry rot on leather?

Brant, So sorry for such a delayed response!! I have been so busy I have forgotten to check in with everyone here at FL. So many of you have sent your jackets - I really appreciate all of your support!!! As for the answer about waterproofing being a drying agent, I honestly don't know the...

We could hang it in the ozone room. Once right side out and once wrong side out. The musty smell will be gone. But it may have a light clean odor similar to bleach. It's a fine line between getting the musty smell gone and no new smell. I try to be careful so as to not overdue it.

    Can this Buco be saved?

Yes, a rubber eraser. (Not a pencil eraser). Also agree about what's under the velcro. But I think I could find a piece of leather that would be unobjectionable- considering the trade off for losing the jacket. It would definitely cost more than just replacing the zipper, but this jacket looks...

    Bike Jacket Cuffs Repaired

It would be more expensive and take longer for sure. I'm not suggesting you send yours, but it might be fun to know (or fun for me to tell!) - I've had jackets sent to me from the UK (of course), Australia, Holland, Germany, Russia, Abidjan, Brazil, Spain, Singapore (which I thought was the...
