Big_e: Nice cap. Wish the grass here were as green as it is down your way. hatophile: Looks great brim down or up, but I prefer down on this lid as it allows the beautiful contrasting ribbon to be viewed in its full glory! Steve: Wonderful Tropp. Felt looks super smooth. A very nice...

    The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

Bravissimo, David! :eusa_clap Beautiful, lustrous color, and I love the bound brim. The crest, size tag, and price would indicate that this hat was made for export to. Color, as Alan already indicated in the other thread, is 'Palladio', or Palladium, only two atomic numbers away from my...

It certainly does appear to be a Bold Look hat. Interesting observation regarding price designation hats versus their 'generic' siblings. Period ads and the sampling of surviving examples that come to auction can definitely skew the perception of their ubiquity.

    The Dobbs Diner...

Very nice, Eric. Love those old Rogers Peet lids. Does the sweat or liner tip have the Rogers Peet Co. logo?

Interesting hat, with edge binding narrower on top, and the row of stitching from the underside of the brim visible topside. It also does not apparently have a model or price designation.

Beautiful Borsalino, David. What is the name of the color, Ruthenio? It is very similar to one of mine in that color. Looking forward to additional photos in the Brotherhood thread. Thank you, Alan!

Thanks, Steve! I did not get the opportunity to comment on your wonderful Goldsiegal Velour from the other day when you first posted it, but if you will allow a belated comment: Breathtaking! I am continually amazed by the quality and variety of Austro-Germanic lids you have been...
