Hiking food.
Hawk's Vittles makes some magnificent freeze dried gourmet foods!! Very affordable too. I don't usually eat dried food but this guy is a chef that makes his own. Never found anything better.- Macbeth

how many use wood stoves for heat?
I dearly miss my Vermont castings Resolute stove in a house I used to live in. Burned a load of wood 16 hours and perfect air controls. Could even cook on the top which doubled as a grill. I remember it was delivered to Louisiana on a train from Vermont and it almost killed 4 of us...- Macbeth

Classic ballpoint pens for everyday use
Look on the Bay for Vintage Pelikan striated ballpoints. I have matching ones for my Pelikan Tortoise 400. They can be had for about $75. Very elegant looking.- Macbeth

VS Pecan 7 1/4
Today I wore it to a favorite restaurant. There were 5 guys with ball caps (3 with sunglasses on them as they were "tres cool"). And one other guy with an Akubra Coober Pedy with a gold Cavalry tassel on it. One of the ball cappers' girlfriends came over to my table and pointed to my VS...- Macbeth

Who else grinds coffee?

Where do you hang your hat?
I modified a clip so I could carry it in my pocket. First I did NOT have a rubberized clip handy so I took one of my regular clips. Held it open with a vise grip. Cut 2 pieces of self adhesive foam strips that come with some hats. Stuck each piece on insides of clip so would not damage the... -
