Thanks, Ed, and knowing your passion for Mallorys I know you will find one.
Thank you, Mike. Great photos. You are certainly putting your new camera to good use. Both hats look wonderful on you. The photos from the Arts Festival remind me of the wonderful art festivals we love to attend...
With the snow pack nearly gone now in Minnesota we are eagerly anticipating a beautiful Spring in the outdoors, but this past weekend it was out-and-about town, in the Twin Cities.
Rushed to Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis after work on Friday for the Minnesota Orchestra concert. Mallory...
Big_e: Nice cap. Wish the grass here were as green as it is down your way.
hatophile: Looks great brim down or up, but I prefer down on this lid as it allows the beautiful contrasting ribbon to be viewed in its full glory!
Steve: Wonderful Tropp. Felt looks super smooth. A very nice...
Bravissimo, David! :eusa_clap
Beautiful, lustrous color, and I love the bound brim. The crest, size tag, and price would indicate that this hat was made for export to. Color, as Alan already indicated in the other thread, is 'Palladio', or Palladium, only two atomic numbers away from my...
Thanks, Tom, I appreciate your kind remarks very much.
Really love your GPs. That example you wore on St. Patrick's Day is stellar!
Very nice, Eric, thanks for the additional photos.
It certainly does appear to be a Bold Look hat. Interesting observation regarding price designation hats versus their 'generic' siblings. Period ads and the sampling of surviving examples that come to auction can definitely skew the perception of their ubiquity.
Interesting hat, with edge binding narrower on top, and the row of stitching from the underside of the brim visible topside. It also does not apparently have a model or price designation.
Beautiful Borsalino, David. What is the name of the color, Ruthenio? It is very similar to one of mine in that color. Looking forward to additional photos in the Brotherhood thread.
Thank you, Alan!
I suspected as such, Dennis, and sincerely hope that you are feeling well, and that the situation is stable. Best wishes for any ongoing treatment you are undertaking.
Thanks, Steve! I did not get the opportunity to comment on your wonderful Goldsiegal Velour from the other day when you first posted it, but if you will allow a belated comment: Breathtaking!
I am continually amazed by the quality and variety of Austro-Germanic lids you have been...
Great picture of a wonderful lid, Mike. Do you make cane fly-rods? :)
Thank you, David, hatophile, Jeff, Ordinary Guy, and Dennis, I appreciate the kind words!
Many thanks for your kind remarks!
Another splendid photo set, Mr. & Mrs. Lefty. Beautiful botanicals and straws!
Thanks, Dennis. Looking dapper and chipper even in the midst of having an IV heplock placed.
Hope the MRI was negative or without change, and that everything is OK!
