It's been mainly the wine tourism dollars that have brought this about, much to the consternation of a few old timers. I like small towns, and despise arrogant types. Some of the wine snobs and blue collar pioneers of the area clash from time to time.

I have actually gone out "hunting" for those with bad flashlights and worse footwear; on a coral island, no less. We got lost for about an hour, sliced our feet up on the rocks, but came back with some good eats. All between about 2 a.m. - 4 a.m.

It's called uga (oo-gna) on Niue Island... a true delicacy. If you want you can eat the "butter" too!
