i've never met anyone who was so obsessed with the 30s-40s that they started to believe they actually were in that era. :p
i don't believe there's such a thing as being 'of' an era you weren't born in. even if you reject nearly everything about the times you currently live in, and romanticise...
i'm sure that lots of Edwardian - early 20s suits have been mis-listed over the years as early 60s.
i haven't been dedicated enough an ebay hunter to search them out. :eusa_doh:
i'd go with 1910-14.
here's a jacket with similarly wide-spaced buttons. no date, but looks later than the jacket above as the top button isn't as high.
i'm going to sell this U.S. jacket soon... anyone care to guess the date ?
i originally thought mid-late 30s, but the shape also reminded me of some of the jackets Joaquin Phoenix wears in 'The Master' which is late 40s:
(it's been pressed to 'roll' to the middle button by the previous owner...
that's a 1990s tie though, not a 1940s one (plus, those are just reproductions of Lautrec's posters on a tie... the design wasn't created specifically to go on a tie.
different kettle of fish altogether).
here's another saddle-bag pocket cord, different back to the previous one:

cream DB, with what look like faux-action pleats:

i'm not taken with that light mustard colour personally, but someone might like it, and the cut's pretty good.
i haven't seen the loop but i have seen a mid-30s belt back with regular buttonhole (no loop).
