How about that? We do have a storm blowing through Oregon today. Gusts to 45mph inland, higher on the coast. I was stopped at a light earlier this morning in Salem and I thought the guy behind me hit my bumper, but it was a gust of wind!
This is not vintage London Fog. A NWT blem with one button hole missing. I liked the color, it fit well and I hardly use the button closures anyway. A penny under $20 out the door. I rarely see vintage stuff where I hit the thrift stores. The one I recall recently was a beautiful bespoke...
How else can a guy afford some Ostrich skin Luchesse ropers? I just don't have an extra $600 - $800 lying around for shoes. I spend the bulk of my money on guns and hats... :)
I like it, too, Jim. That's a peach! Somewhat similar to my NW Hats (Mike Miller) silverbelly with old copper ribbon. Is that rust ribbon on your Gus Miller?
My grandfather had bunches of colorful silk ties that were used to make a beautiful quilt. My parents had that quilt for a long time, but I don't know where it is now... I feel sad for that loss, yet glad for you and the care you're giving your grand dad's beautiful ties.
This is also in the Stafford/JC Penney thread... a fairly decent sports coat, a lighter 65/35 blend of polyester/wool that should wear about like stainless steel mesh. It's marked as a Stafford Options jacket and I grabbed it for $9.99 at Goodwill. I can't tell that it's ever been warn and see...
Here's just an upper body shot that shows a little of the London Fog raincoat. It's fully lined, but I had the liner out this morning. Too bad, as it was rainy and COLD this morning.
