Why not try a thin ribbon w/ a brim at or less than 2 7/8"? That always says "L.A.- John Huston in Chinatown" to me who is strictly from back east. They DO have great hats to be sure, but it is one thing to allow the bidders to push an item to that $ point- quite another to place an item at a (quite possible to realize at auction ) value up front & have it languish unsold, IMO. A Loose Affiliation of Ribbons Niether Wide nor Thin
:arated: 3/8" is my preference. The LEE ADVENTURER as well as the iconic STRATOLINER were both thin ribbon and "urban" (for want of a better word) dress hats. Hoyt Hats' "Demon Hanover" a "railbird's" hat from the track. my .o2- Rick Blaine

Anything is possible, I suppose. I am more inclined to blame timing, less than stellar auction listings & maybe the stated delivery lag from eastern Europe.
