    The "Annoying Phrase" Thread

Fat, fat and more fat "Gut bomb" describes almost everything on the menu: variations on the themes of sausage, cheese, potatoes and meat fried in batter. *yucky*

my imagination or did i wake up in the wrong time

I don't think you really want to live in the past, I think you'd like a lot of the crime and drug addiction in your community to go away. The problems you mention became serious decades ago in less isolated areas. Some communities solved their problems; others went to seed. I suggest you get...

    Happy EARTH DAY!

I've read that only a tiny portion of a household's water goes down the toilet. Most of it goes on the lawn. Yet in the Denver area--where the temperature reaches the 90s and 100s all summer, and it's a semi-arid climate--there are communities that forbid xeriscaping. :eusa_doh:

When is giving advice crossing the line?

The thing about giving advice--even solicited advice--is that people do whatever they want to anyway.

    The "Annoying Phrase" Thread

I don't tend to take stock phrases literally. Imagine a world where people did just that: "May I help you?" "Yeah, I want some cottage cheese and salsa on a pita and a meatloaf sandwich to go. It would really help me to get it for free." "How do you do?" "How do I do what?" "What's...

If you get a lot of compliments in orange, you must look good in it. And in the photo taken in good daylight, your hair looks a little reddish. Overall, you look more warm than cool to me.
