Optimo, Natural Silverbelly
Gorgeous early Autumn afternoon in Minnesota yesterday, while waiting for Ryan and his violin lesson at St. Olaf College in Northfield. Photos are un-enhanced and straight from my camera.
First splash of Fall colors.
Intensely blue sky.
Delightful account of your Chicago trip, Alan! :eusa_clap
Great portrait of a pair of dapper hat connoisseurs!
Love this fantastic shot. And the young man isn't even properly hatted!
Thanks, Perry! I remember well when you first posted that beautiful Dobbs. Looks great on you.
Thank you, Alan, you are most kind! I look forward to hearing more about your trip to Optimo and your mobile bidding adventure with Josh. We narrowly missed meeting up with him a few weekends...
Rusty: Thanks! Even us melon heads get lucky once in a blue moon.
Brent: Despite its appearance in the photo, the brim is 2-7/16" all the way around. Crown is 4-3/4" and the ribbon is 3/4". Thank you, and I agree the proportions look good on this lid, as with nearly all Adam hats.
Labor Day Weekend...Felt Like Felt
Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Labor Day Weekend. There certainly was a plethora of splendid hats on display here over the past few days. Well done, gentlemen!
Saturday morning Dim Sum. Mandarin Kitchen, Bloomington. Optimo Silverbelly.

Some really fine hats, gentlemen!
Steve: A black beauty, that Echter Borsalino!
David: That Stetson 15 felt looks absolutely scrumptious!
Brent: Nice color on that Alessandria. Always a bit sad this time of the year, as the days get shorter and Summer bids farewell, but cheer...
Lovely old Panama, Josh! The proportions look just right, in my opinion. I think Panamas in general have a different vibe compared with felts, and the lower crown is more in keeping with their character.
Are you wearing it higher on your head intentionally? Love that pug!
Perry: lol Thanks, and I see that I will have to include at least ONE food photo in each set henceforth! :essen:
Justin: Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed the photos, and am in complete agreement with your opinion of the evolution of Ferrari adopted designs over the past six decades. Even...
Ale, as much as I am impressed with your ribbon work, I would have to give the nod to the Silverbelly/Lavender combination. I would prefer a slightly lighter colored shade of Lavender even more, but I think that, without a bound edge providing some visual contrast to this lighter-colored felt...
Ale, David, Alan: Many thanks for your kind words. I thought about leaving my hat and mug out of this set, but had to include a few as this IS a hat thread, after all! lol
As for being upstaged by the auto exotica, well...the sacrifices we make in the name of Art! Personally, while I...
