Well, I need clean hair that's out of my eyes. I feel like a sheepdog otherwise.
I'm going to ask everyone to check their weapons at the door at my next FL gathering.
I went to the Shakespeare Festival in Boulder several years ago. Like just about everything else that doesn't involve sports or booze, it was nearly all women and the odd husband.
A little research shows that stone (or a color close to it) is a classic trench coat color as well.
I don't worry about matching my coat color to my outfit.
I was never plugged in except for Internet service.
You mentioned silence. I don't think you can have a spiritual life without silence. People who strictly observe the Jewish sabbath don't talk on the phone or use the computer on that day. They don't turn on anything electric. I think the...
Navy--the new black?
I know most of us don't follow trends closely, but after 10 years of black, black and more black being the fashion, black is starting to become passe. Of course, it will never go completely out of style. But navy looks more up-to-date to me.
I vote for navy if you're going for a color that suits your complexion. Black would be good as well. If you need a traditional look, the beige is better.
One thing to keep in mind when using complementary colors: use a main color and an accent. Half and half doesn't look right.
PDXvintagette, many of those color combinations are popular in the gardening world. :p
:offtopic: The whole marching band experience is one long blur to me. Marching, sweating, playing, heat, gnats, sweating, practicing, heat, gnats, pavement, grass, playing...we might have played at our own graduation. I don't remember.
I'm sure it was better than KP, though. :)
I hope you understand why I'm confused.
It sounds like that part of the ceremony went off without a hitch. You didn't mention that.
As for a family in mourning attending a "joyous occasion" and distant relatives going to the graduation of a deceased person: if this is the new mourning, I'm...
This friend didn't raise her. She isn't going to think about her every day for the rest of her life. Nor is she going to feel a chill every time the phone rings late at night.
In their state of shock, the parents would have agreed to anything. They were right, though, not to go to the...
When I was in basic training in the Air Force, I was in the drum & bugle corps. We left our hats on while we played. What else would we have done with them?
DHerrmann--good point about the playing of the song being a form of salute. :)
I HATE, HATE, HATE a lot of froo-froo on ladies' hats. Pin on a flower and be done with it.
There's a guy I like. I usually see him in shorts and t-shirts. I don't care whether he owns a tie.
My recent purchases include boot leg jeans, t-shirts and red canvas tennis shoes. I LOVE these...
OK. The parts about light switches, percolators and hunting trips threw me. People do, now and then, post to the wrong thread. There's no particular crime in it.
Now, back to homeownership and lending practices in the Golden Era.
Coach bags are guaranteed for life. The materials are top quality and they're made to last for decades. If a Coach bag needs repairs, they're done for free. However, part of the high price is the Coach shopping experience (the real ones are sold in chi-chi boutiques) and, if you get one of the...
