Opened my Christmas gifts from my wife this morning, and what do I find? Not one, but TWO new-to-me hats!!
The first is a Biltmore Golden Pheasant Velour that is marked "Made in Canada".

This thread made me smile. I love hats, but these lights don't bother me in the least, even if they did happen to be vintage pieces. What does bother me, however, is going to antique shops or art fairs and seeing frankensteined vintage watches that have been taken apart and their parts used to...
Although this definitely isn't the kind of pic most of us who follow this thread dream about, I assure you there is a hat in this box. "What hat?", you might ask. Well, therein lies the problem. I'm asking the question right along with you. I found a few hats on that auction site the other day...
You mean like this?:
I noticed the hole shortly after buying this hat, but never really gave it much thought until I saw your post. I guess my Golden Coach must have been overstock or something, as I haven't ever noticed anything that could be described as a "defect". Interesting information...

Javadave, that is one HECK of a nice $8 noggin cover you've got there! I can see why it gives you the Johnny Depp feeling. Looks great! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Fruno. I found this one at a swap meet buried under a bunch of junk hats. My wife actually saw the pile of hats from outside the booth, and told me, "I think I see some hats in there." Otherwise I would've walked right by it. Best $10 I've ever spent on a noggin cover, that's for sure...
It's a little chilly here in the Carolinas today, so thought I'd break out the Golden Coach by Dobbs for work.
Have a great Saturday, everyone!
Moon, your posts make me want to buy a lot of hats. Guess I need to add on a room to my 5th wheel somehow!! Lol! Guess I have Hat Envy!!!

Here's my Friday night work hat. It's a RedHead Lite Felt wool number that I picked up a few years ago at Bass Pro. I consider it my beater hat, especially since my Chihuahua got ahold of it and chewed the leather band and the front of the crown one day when I accidentally left it laying on the...
Been looking for a cooler hat to wear during the Summer here in North Carolina, and finally found a decent looking one that wouldn't break the bank today. Yes, it's just a Faded Glory from the Evil Empire of the retail world, but at only $7, I think it was a bargain, and it means I don't have to...
Found this one in an antique shop a few months ago. Of course, I had to get the bracelet, as well, since they kinda matched. I wear the ring every day, even to work. The bracelet only gets wrist time on my days off. Hope this helps. Rings are like hats. Wear what you like.

I just watched the first night on the DVR, and I enjoyed it. It was better than I had anticipated thus far.
