Beautiful lids all around today, gents!
Mike: That 3x OR is a winner.
Perry: I know I have said this before, but the colors on that Dobbs are so very Autumnal. Love it.
Alan: Congrats once again, and I would be contemplating occasions other than Halloween to wear that exquisite...
Great set of photos, scooter. EB is adorable, and you and your wife look so happy together with her. A memorable trip, no doubt. Oh, and that OR clone looks great. Glad you got that lid from Phil.
Portis Super-Lux
I really like this old Super-Lux. Felt is lightweight but firm, and of a lovely shade of grey with a distinct lavender undertone. The unreeded sweat is textured, not unlike some Dobbs sweats from the '30s and early '40s. The sweatband sewing and ribbon work is very well...
Thank you for the kind feedback, gentlemen.
Perry: Appreciate it, my friend.
zetwal: I really, really like this Portis. Similar in many ways to the early Playboys. Will post some better pictures of the hat later today.
Eric: Fantastic ADAM. Is that an Arc'teryx jacket you have...
C'est bon! Lovely pics, Alan.
Another nice OR, Eric. Looking good! :thumb:
Hope everything is OK, David, and that you are able to return to your usual hat rotation tomorrow.
That Twenty looks great on you, Ale!
Great photos and lids. Please consider adding your pictures to the Fedoras...
Alan: Thank you, my friend.
My oversight in neglecting to credit the artists. Images now captioned. These two captivating works were among several hundred on display in the Fine Arts Building at the State Fair. It never ceases to amaze us just how many talented artists there are out...
My humble thanks for all of your kind words, gentlemen.
Jeff(Jedwbpm), Rusty, BR, Randall(love that barefoot gal with rifle, too), David, Jeff(bowlerman), and Ale: :yo:
...and those Scotch Eggs really are out of this world!
