Me too. I just throw new hats in the rotation and rarely does MrsFed say anything except to tell me how good I look. But she got tired of all the boxes and said I needed to get a big hat stand... now there's a retail store hat stand in the living room that is full with the 35 spots all covered...
That's something I have to remind myself about all the time. I'm practically ADHD about symmetry. I literally force myself to wear my hat tilted to the side, to have one side dent deeper or longer than the other side. If you look at the old movies and photos of hatted gents, you rarely see a...
Your last 2 hats put many of us to shame. I may have more hats, but the quality of your Champs is into the stratosphere. Seriously, NOS, unworn 50's vintage Champs???? Holy grail find right there! You should be super proud of those gems, brother!
I'm jealous of your Weiss collection, Harv, and this western is a prime example of the cause. Have you posted a Weiss family pic of your collection yet? I'd love to see them all together!

Very strange, indeed. Maybe a faulty sweat to start with? Do check with your Akubra dealer... if it's warranty work it won't be worth it to you unless they pay the shipping. I'm so spoiled with so many great hatters nearby...
Nice work! I always start with the center crease. Sometimes the hat stays that way, other times they progress to a tear drop or diamond crease. I didn't like the diamond much when I first started accumulating hats. Now I really like them, although only about 10% of my hats have the diamond...
It can be the start of great things.... PAD, Portland Area Decadence. Meet the Hatter, then go get some grub!
ooh, forgot to add the part about ordering a slew of new customs! Then get the grub!
I saw that, too. I follow John's posts on FB so I got that first thing. I love that hat. Very classy lid, Jeremy! John is about 31 miles from me. I've been to his shop several times and he's always been real great to work with.
