Floods in Australia
I'm curious, do any of you know how the flooding in Australia has impacted Akubra and the retailers? I know Hats Direct is in NSW but I believe the flooding has reached that state as well. What a disaster! Hope our Australian FL folks are holding up OK!- TiltRotorFlyer

Keeping it as is.....almost Received my new CD today. I actually like the bound edge and the only change I made was to remove the wind trolley. I really like the hat and it will be perfect for the sun out here!- TiltRotorFlyer

Received My CD Well I received my CD today....and I am pleased. This hat wasn't as large as I anticipated and it fit well right out of the box (ok a little loose at first but after a little steam during the creasing, it fits well). Felt Density I'm just wondering.....but since I lean towards a raw edge, does the felt of an Imperial quality Akubra lend itself to trimming? Just Pulled the Trigger On a Taupe Fawn CD as described by Hats Direct. I'll see if I like it with the bound edge and thin ribbon. Who knows, maybe it will suit me just fine as is. Thanks! So what I gather from the the link is that the issue is not so much about durability as it is a matter of taste. Any other thoughts?
