Apologies to all for my unintentional hiatus from the forum over the past few weeks. Nearly every moment of my free and non-slumber time has been consumed by our son Ryan's big school production of 'How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying', and I am still in the midst of sorting...
A couple of lovely hats this Monday morning gentlemen!
David: That Marque Grand Luxe felt is just ravishing. Looks great on you as well.
Ale: Wonderful photos of a fine lid!
Incredibly beautiful images from what must have been an emotionally satisfying trip. My compliments to you and your daughter for the very fine photography. You are both naturals in front of the lens, and having a great lid on your noggin such as your Knox Twenty certainly does not hurt...
Apologies for being late to the fete, and our best wishes for a happy 33rd, Ale!
That your newest Optimo is absolutely splendid goes without saying. Here is to many, many more decades of joy wearing it! :cheers1:
Kirk: Laissez les bontemps rouler! Looking good in the Stylemaster. Are you down in N'awlins for the festivities?
billyspew: Beautiful images. Seemed like just yesterday that I was making snow angels in our backyard with Ryan on my tummy. Savor those moments!
Lefty: Wonderful photos of some very photogenic subjects.
Jeff: I vote for the long layover. Thanks again for your kind words, and a mighty fine looking Dobbs!
gqmagic: Thank you, and welcome to the lounge!
My very humble thanks for all of your very kind comments, gentlemen!
Alan: Coming from one who wields a mean lens and shutter I am very, very flattered by your remarks. Thank you once again!
Eric: Gorgeous VS. Are you practicing Chinese calligraphy at the club?
Jeff: Thanks...
My humble thanks! I just saw your stunning photos from the weekend. Would you please consider posting those images as well as any others of your beautiful photos to the Fedoras Afield thread?
Gentlemen, you are much too kind, but I sincerely appreciate your kind words.
Ale: Tungsten is a mercurial color, and Graham's satin finish provides the perfect amount of sheen.
Perry: The Miller, from St. Paul, Minnesota, is one of my sentimental favorites. I really love heather finish...
Props to everyone for a weekend of fantastic lids, and to our indefatigable morning crew for the overture to the week.
David: I only wish we would have a zephyr blowing through Minnesota this morning. Beautiful felt.
Mike: Looking dapper last night.
Perry: Outstanding O.R...
Thank you, Josh, for posting these great pieces of Mallory ephemera. I saw the first of these postcards a while back on eBay. Very interesting, I thought, being ostensibly an advertisement featuring an advertisement, and with what looks to be a pre-printed form letter made for Mallory retailers.
