    Gosh. I love hats.

This is one of only two forums I visit each day. I love the fact we have such an active community; so much to the point that you'll miss posts if you don't visit often!

    From the pictures, I'd say it's a good bet it's 1950's. A VERY nice hat! :eusa_clap

Indycop, I definitely agree that that Marathon is still a good catch. It's in super great shape, and I'm sure you'll get tons of enjoyment out of it once its adjusted to your size.

    Life in a Box

I love being able to go through collections like that. They're unique gateways to another time, and the life of another person. Reminds me of when I used to go through my mom's dad's footlocker with her years ago. He had all kinds of WWII memorabilia in it, including some things not directly...

    Film Noir?

That's pretty cool Paddy. Definitely not bad for a first shot, and with no script. Thanks for sharing! What's the soundtrack you used?

30 Ways to Die of Electrocution in 1931

Wow. According to these, people should have just stayed home and sat on their hands so they wouldn't do anything fatal. :eusa_doh: Thanks for posting; those are interesting.

Video games based in the golden era

This one looks really interesting. This is the first I've heard of it, though I am familiar with and have played Syberia by the same writer. The last news update is from 2007. Has this one already been released?

Do you remember your first vintage hat purchase?

I've never had any trouble buying hats on ebay. A few times I've had to adjust the size a little bit by adding foam behind the band, but nothing too serious. NY Confidential: Your new hat is great! Looks good on you and a nice find.

Very nice find, Paddy! I've never heard of the company, but it appears to be of high quality, and I like the black felt. Nice ribbon treatment too.
