That was super helpful! I have a feeling both pretty much would fit me the same way. On you, the 40 looks a bit more relaxed/comfortable with some extra room. Yeah I prefer a more fitted style as well in general. Hmm, perhaps I'll buy it to try it on and return it if the sleeves don't work out. The sleeve style does seem a bit short. On this Rivet & Hide model the fit seems good, but the sleeves are on the shorter side:- singer

I would have loved to try a size down, but they didn't have it in stock. I have a feeling I would fit in the 38, except for perhaps the sleeves being too short, especially after some creasing.
