I live in Florida, in the area some call the " armpit" of Florida. Hot, swampy, humid. About 3 days of Winter. I wear a felt hat all the time. I have an old Stetson 3x Rancher that I rebuilt for all my outside work in the heat/sun. Keeps my old bald head protected from the sun, and I can beat...
100 raw edge.
What a great hat! Now I know what the raving is about on 100's. WoW!
Great felt. The only felt that I have that is as nice is my Resistol, yea you guessed it, Resistol 100!

Stetson 100 Rancher
Here's a photo of a Stetson 100' raw edge rancher. It got converted, from a Cattleman's crease to a center crease, front pinch. Love it!
Resistol Beaver 100
The Resistol Beaver 100 that I obtained from casechopper. What a great hat. The most remarkable felt I've ever handled. Very soft to the touch,,supple, and holds any crease. I wore this to Tennessee last month. Several men tried to talk me out of it. These were hat people...
I spent a week in Wears Valley, right near GSMNP. Spent most of the time wearing a Resistol Beaver 100 that I bought from casechopper. I rebashed to a tall, front pinch diamond. It has a 3-1/2 inch brim and a tall crown. Makes one heck of a hat. Great for spending days out in the sun. I had...
Only about 35$. Waaaaay too cheap for a Stetson 20 from that era. Besides, my wife bought that off eBay for me for a birthday gift, and I wore that hat to Alaska for our 25th! So, it ain't getting away without a fight!
Wearing my early 50's, chocolate brown Stetson 20, mode edge at an Olive Garden in Maryville, TN. The waiter gave me a great compliment on my hat, then tried to trade me out of it fom my check! Needless to say, I thanked him for the offer and it left the restaurant on my head!
Well, I'm bald headed, and have a very asymmetrical dome. So,just about any hat looks better than the lop-sided head! But, in terms of matching at to face, I think it goes beyond that. I personally don't like stingys on me because I'm tall and lanky, and a stingy looks like the eraser that tops...
I have a glen grey camp draft and a moonstone squatter. The moonstone is lighter then glen gray. I've seen some comparison pics here on the lounge in the Akubra threads.
