No, it was a Cuenca hat body I picked out off a table in a back room at Homero Ortega in Cuenca, Ecuador. I picked the crease and the ribbon/bow color and treatment.

Other than making deeper side dents or turning down the front brim, or reshaping the sides/back of the brim, I'd personally send it to a hatter who has worked with toquilla straw previously.
I got this Charles Knox 40 in yesterday. I'm guessing a 60's example? Faded and dirty, it still has nice, Cavanagh edge, felt and the cool sweatband ribbon treatment I love so much.

I got mine 2nd hand here in the FL classifieds. It's a very cool hat, I love the dark moss color and - yes - the 6 point diamond is awesome. If I ordered one direct from John I'd ask for a little more width on the brim, but that's just personal preference. I wouldn't mind having one in brown...
