sorry guys- using borrowed computer, decided to re-live the blue screen of death once more...lost another chunk of material, Zap-gone in
a NY minute; hadn't backed up, so now down to another borrowed set-up, and a skull & crossbones screensaver. Still haven't seen the hat
that makes my ticker...
Morning, all- I am in need of a very lightweight summer felt fedora, size 7 1/2 or 7 3/8 L/O; lighter color is better, and
don't mind if there's a few minor problems, style is more important than perfection. Champ Featherweight or equivalent;
a nice thin Borsalino would be dandy... if anyone...
I've got a bone-colored Resistol 50X Western Fedora for sale-size is 7 3/8-was 7 1/4 had it stretched. Smooooth fine felt,
great lines, no problems; has a trace of the old cattlemans' crease on the crown-but you have to look hard to see it.
Super-fine hat. Photos on request- before I send it...
Howdy folks- just put a pair of Stetsons up on the bay; Stetson Playboy 7 1/2, old & superb- and a Stetson Nutria Quality 7 3/8
in excellent condition; both are rich caramel brown, and the Nutria has an especially fine contrasting ribbon/edge binding. I'm
selling some of my favorites to...
I'll tell ya- 4yrs after my major accident, and the rumble of fine bikes going by makes me itchy...despite having enough hardware in me
to stop most airports cold, I'd really like to be out there rippin' it up. And one of those jackets would look right smart on my new,
titanium improved body...
Resistol Beaver One Hundred for sale, size 7 1/2, undyed felt (is a bone color), silky smooth felt-better than Stetson's 100 IMO;
no issues with felt, ribbon, edge binding-inside liner has some light foxing but in there tight, and sweatband has a 1 1/2 inch repair
just done to it, so entire...
I've got a perplexing situation-have in front of me a Dobbs One Hundred-and a Resistol One Hundred; both have felts that are smooth as silk;
both are Western bodies-with an OR styling; need to sell one of 'em, but can't find mention of either hat in the 100 club; both hats are 7 1/2;
and both...
As I understand some old hat lore-guys used to pad their hats with a few bills. Lots of reasons given, including avoiding shake-downs in
the tougher side of town...but I always look under the band in a hat I'm thinking of buying. Could pay for itself!
