As my grandfather was getting up in years (he passed at 84) he was replacing many of the movements with quartz movements. My mom had the rear one explode on my dad's old '85 Bronco (which was fairly new at the time lol ) My '87 Caprice Estate must have had it before my time, too. There's little glass pieces inside the tailgate to this day. Nice! 3.08 gears are nice highway gears, too! Thanks!- AtomicEraTom

Thanks! It's a half-ton, single cab, long box, 2wd, 350 4bbl/TH350. I really like that it's factory A/C, cruise, tilt wheel, an the embedded antenna. Makes it a bit less "run of the mill." Turned out to be the plastic gear in the governor on the trans. A ten dollar part, and we're back in...- AtomicEraTom

Hoping so, as long as I can do something about the RUST!!!!! Besides cosmetics, it runs great, but needs some tranny attention. Sometimes, it doesn't want to shift out of first. I've found if I start out in L2, instead of drive, then shift into drive, after 2nd gear, it'll shift. Worst case...- AtomicEraTom
