Thank you for your reply. I agree that there are many vintage fedoras available; but I am having a very hard time finding one in my size (7 5/8). Thanks again for posting, and please let me know if you know of any for sale! Best.

    Need help finding a hat

Hello, I posted here a few month ago, regarding my quest for a 7 5/8 fedora with a short brim- Not a trilby, but a short brimmed fedora similar to the one being worn by comedian Shelley Berman in the photo below. So far, my search has been exceedingly difficult. I have decided to post here...

Thanks for the photos- I like them both! A few questions I have; 1. Are they both 7 5/8? 2. What is the brim measurement? As I am seeking a trilby style fedora, I would like to ensure that the brims of both measure under 2 inches. 3. Do you have any idea as to when they were manufactured...

Yes. I would be interested in purchasing. Please post some additional pictures of the actual 7 5/ 8 fedora rather than the one that is similar... It does appear that a TRILBY is what I am looking for rather than a fedora- Thanks for the clarification! I assume the pictures of Tony Curtis...

Yes, I was comparing the fedoras that I have and it appears that a SMALL BRIM is KEY to the look of the fedora that I am seeking- (Why is this so hard to locate !??) I would love to find one similar to the Champ that I posted. Another example is seen in this 1963 picture of actor Tony Curtis at...

Know of any in this same style, in which the brim does not have to be pulled down to look like a real fedora, but is rather permanently in this state? The fedoras that require pulling the brim tend to make the crown comically tall!-I want the crown to look about the same size (as it does in the...

Yes, that is very similar to what I am looking for! Thank you very much! However, I might add that I would much prefer a fedora with a non adjustable brim (always down); Is there a technical name for that in hat jargon? I own a vintage fedora that is exactly what I am seeking (but is 7 1/2)...

Hello, I am new to the forum, but thought this would be an appropriate place to ask my question. I am a vintage fedora enthusiast, but am having difficulty finding a new fedora in the style that I seek. The main obstacle I have been facing is that my size 7 5/8, seems to be quite difficult to...
