So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Lots of people descended from German immigrants in this part of the country. I'm one of them. :)

    Lunch, Anybody?

I agree with you except that I think there are many Americans who may not have hit type 2 yet, but are on their way and aren't aware of it because they don't have the classic symptoms yet. One meal isn't a disaster but it might pave the way. This scenario is me. That said, I think there's too...

    Autumnal Thoughts........

Autumn is my favorite season but not because of Hallowe'en. #pumpkinspiceeverything

It depends on how well your pancreas works.

    What's for Dinner?

Sometimes I use bottled lemon juice and sweetener. Sometimes I use a mix and when I do, I add a little lemon juice. What's special is that I add a teaspoon of citric acid, tablespoon of lemon rind, and a pinch of salt to every batch (2-quart pitcher.) When I have fresh lemons on hand I grate...

    What's for Dinner?

I had a couple of pieces of cheddar on the way home from work. That sort of counts as part of dinner. Anyway, I had a couple of veggie burger patties with vegan worcestershire sauce, black pepper, mayo, and french fried onions. I might finish off the green beans in the fridge. Had...

    Lunch, Anybody?

I had--and you're going to think I'm weird--a sandwich of buttered bread, roast "beef" slices, homemade BBQ sauce, and french fried onions. Yes, I am a strange one.

It can be a trigger for migraines--another good reason for smokers to avoid exposing the rest of us. Who'd want to contribute to someone else's pain, especially pain like that?

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

It was Selfridge who said "Treat the customer as if her were always right." He knew they were sometimes wrong. But people have turned that into "The customer is always right," as if none of them are ever at fault. It's the ones at fault who like to repeat this. And what is it, some kind of...

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Here's something that annoys me to no end: people assuming because they sent me a message that I actually got it. Look for a confirmation! I sent an email to a group of friends last night to see if anyone would be willing to pick me up from work today because there's no public transport on...

    Lunch, Anybody?

Three fried eggs and iced tea. Weird. Going to go forage for dessert now.

Luckily my original script and a refill will last me a year or more, so that I don't have to pay for more office visits than I already do. (I have to see my doc every time for a new script for my opiate and there is only one refill allowed without that visit.)

As much as you appreciate good food I'd find it a pleasure feeding you. She's a lucky lady.

If I wore white pants of any kind I'd immediately spill coffee on them. I do have sand-colored pants and somehow I've managed to keep them pretty clean. But if they were white, game over.

Just some hot wings. I'm still peckish, but it's past my bedtime.
