what was I saying? A Martin Lane G1 has just appeared in the window of our local cancer research shop ( byres rd ) - size 42, decent condition - £120.......don't know much about these but this is without cotton cuffs - sleeves seems short. Plus they have multiple sheepskin flying jackets...
2 X pairs of Red Wing Iron Rangers in my size, bought one pair for £15 and paid £50 for the other. Ended up selling the second pair for £130 on the bay.....so I'm up!
But in my experience the well is pretty much dry when it comes to finding quality vintage in the charity shops here in the UK.
awesome jacket, awesome haircut.....and awesome fit pics!
( things I don't want to see in fit pics: untucked shirt, bathroom mirror, sweat pants, bare feet....etc).
decent repro deck jackets are priced from $100-1000....I have tried on both the Pike Bros and The IH but I cant really compare because I didn't really spend time with either. However I do own an RMC, which is priced towards the top end, and a Houston which is a cheeper, lesser known Japanese...
remember how over excited everybody got last time around? Its a couple of days after my birthday so I might pop along - maybe snag a wee bargain.....20% off is decent discount.
I'm not the 'easily offended brigade' and I'm not trying to start a squabble, apologies if it comes across that way.....but the language is somewhat jarring, thats all......
nice jacket, but the title of the thread is somewhat offensive - probably unintended I'm sure, but putting a swear word next to the word Indian does not read well......I have no clue what its referring to
Its been 16 years since my last visit and I am pleased to report the Rider Rooms is better than ever - the store is still at the same premises in St Pauli, but they have expanded the shop and there is quite literally mountains of stock from so many brands.
If you ever get the opportunity to...
.it will sell at a susbstantial loss. That’s just how it works.
or put it another way....if you can afford to spend $2000 on a jacket, you can afford a $1000 loss when you sell it on......so best to just keep it and enjoy!
I like it....but I showed this pic to my GF and she gave it a massive thumbs down. Now I know what you are thinking....who cares what the special lady thinks.....but sometimes you need a friend to help you put the brakes on a purchase that might not work......
